Amelia Island has been recognized as one of the Top 10 Islands in the United States by Condé Nast Traveler, securing the ninth spot in the publication’s 2025 Readers’ Choice Awards. This marks more than 15 years that Amelia Island has received this distinction, and it remains the only Florida island included in this year’s top tier.

In addition to the island’s overall ranking, two local resorts also earned recognition among the Best Resorts in Florida. Omni Amelia Island Resort & Spa was ranked fourth, while The Ritz-Carlton, Amelia Island placed ninth.

“Longevity on this list speaks volumes,” said Gil Langley, President of the Amelia Island Convention & Visitors Bureau. “In an era when travel tastes shift quickly, Amelia Island continues to inspire loyalty from discerning travelers year after year. What keeps us here isn’t hype; it’s the combination of natural beauty, a walkable historic downtown, and the genuine welcome guests feel from our community. Visitors don’t just discover Amelia; they return, often for generations.”

The results are based on input from over 575,000 readers who participated in this year’s survey for what is considered one of the travel industry’s most respected awards programs. The complete list of winners can be found at CNTraveler.com and will also appear in Condé Nast Traveler’s November issue.

Amelia Island is located in Northeast Florida and is known for its beaches, wildlife, historic sites, and a mix of upscale resorts and bed-and-breakfast inns. The island includes Fernandina Beach, a former Victorian seaport now featuring shops and restaurants.
