BayCare Health System has been recognized by Great Place To Work and Fortune magazine as one of the top workplaces in the health care sector for 2025, ranking No. 22 in the large category. This marks the ninth consecutive year that BayCare has earned a spot on this national list, making it the highest-ranked health system in West Central Florida.

The recognition highlights BayCare’s ongoing focus on creating a positive work environment for its employees. “To be named one of the best workplaces in the health care industry for nine straight years is not only an incredible honor, but a powerful validation of our people-first approach to health care. I’m so proud of our team members for making BayCare the best place to work, receive and provide care,” said Stephanie Conners, President and CEO of BayCare.

The Best Workplaces in Health Care list is compiled by Great Place To Work, which uses its Trust Index Survey to evaluate thousands of organizations across America. The survey gathers responses from more than 1.3 million participants and includes data from companies representing over 8.4 million employees.

In addition to this recognition, BayCare received several other awards in 2025, including being ranked No. 17 on the PEOPLE Companies that Care list and earning Culture Excellence Awards from Energage and Top Workplaces in areas such as Leadership, Innovation, Work-Life Flexibility, and Purpose & Values. The organization was also included on the Tampa Bay Times Top Workplaces list for the eleventh year in a row, named to the Fortune Best Workplaces for Women list, and recognized by USA Today as a Top Workplace in the USA for a second consecutive year.
