A Brazilian family has sold a pair of adjacent homes in Palm Beach for $25 million through an off-market transaction. The sellers, identified as Thais and Deyse Racy via Florida entities Orat LLC and 150 Dunbar Road Inc, transferred ownership of the properties at 151 Atlantic Avenue and 150 Dunbar Road to Delaware-based firms Heavenly Partners and Happy Isles Dreams.
Ashley McIntosh and Kendall Corso of Douglas Elliman represented the Racys in the sale, while Elizabeth DeWoody from Compass acted on behalf of the buyer. According to reports, the Racys, who are originally from Sao Paolo, Brazil, commissioned local architect Gene Lawrence to design both homes for seasonal use in the early 2000s.
Property records show that the house on Atlantic Avenue was constructed in 2001, covers 3,100 square feet, and features three bedrooms and three bathrooms. The Racys acquired this property for $675,000 in 1998. The neighboring home on Dunbar Road was built in 2002 with a larger footprint of 5,700 square feet, five bedrooms, five bathrooms, two half-bathrooms, and includes a pool. Together, the two properties span approximately 0.7 acres.
The Dunbar Road residence had previously been listed for $31.9 million last year but underwent two price reductions before being removed from the market in May according to Zillow data.
This transaction is among several high-value sales recently recorded in Palm Beach as activity increases ahead of peak season. Earlier this month, private equity executive Greg Mondre purchased a 1.2-acre oceanfront lot for $58 million after acquiring another home on the island for $31 million earlier this year. Also this month, Winifred Johnson-Marquart—an heiress to SC Johnson—bought a landmarked home for $30 million. In September, Dutch hedge fund manager Pieter Tasselar sold his mansion for $29.5 million through another off-market deal.
