The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens will recognize first responders with free admission on September 12. The event, called First Responders Day, is open to law enforcement officers, firefighters, and EMT/paramedics as a gesture of appreciation for their service.
Visitors can also see special appearances from local agencies. The Sanford Fire Department and Seminole County Fire Department will bring a fire engine and truck between 9 a.m. and 10:30 a.m., offering special items for children. The Seminole County Sheriff’s Office will participate as well, providing sticker badges and equipment displays.
To receive free admission, first responders must present proof of employment at the gate on September 12. Tickets are not available online and must be purchased onsite. More details about the event can be found at https://www.centralfloridazoo.org/event/honoring-first-responders/.
The Central Florida Zoo & Botanical Gardens houses over 350 animals in Sanford, Florida. As a nonprofit organization, it focuses on conservation efforts and aims to inspire public action for wildlife protection.
