Cortney Young of Tampa General Hospital has been named the 2024 recipient of the Deanne Dewey Roberts Emerging Leader Award. The award, which is given annually, recognizes a participant in the Emerging Leaders of Tampa Bay program between the ages of 21 and 35 whose leadership has had a positive impact on the region.

Young chose to direct her $1,000 prize, provided by ChappellRoberts, to ZooTampa at Lowry Park.

The award honors the late founder Deanne Dewey Roberts and is intended for individuals who demonstrate strong professional values, exceed typical leadership expectations, and serve as inspirations within their community.
