Film Florida partners with WIFT-FL South Florida for MAD Arts networking event

Film Florida has announced a partnership with WIFT-FL South Florida and Film Lauderdale to host an after-hours event at MAD Arts in Fort Lauderdale. The event will include a private tour of the museum, an information session, and networking opportunities for filmmakers and creators.

MAD Arts is described as a museum, community hub, and laboratory focused on art and technology. It features award-winning artworks, interactive experiences, outdoor sculptures, experimental labs, artist prototypes, research projects, and large-scale projections. Attendees will have the chance to observe developments in art and technology during the event.

The evening will feature a presentation by Broward County Film Commissioner and Film Florida president Sandy Lighterman. Following the tour and presentation, guests can participate in networking over drinks and light bites.

The event is scheduled for Tuesday, August 19, 2025 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at MAD Arts located at 481 S Federal Hwy in Dania Beach. Registration is required; admission is free for WIFT members while guests are charged $10.
