The Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC) has scheduled a virtual customer meeting for residents served by Grenelefe Resort Utility, Inc. The meeting will take place on Monday, September 15, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. EDT.

Grenelefe Resort Utility filed an application in January 2025 to raise its water and wastewater rates in Polk County. The FPSC stated that the upcoming meeting is intended to allow customers to comment on the proposed rate increase and share their views on the utility’s quality of service. According to the FPSC, “Customer input will be considered when the Commission makes its decision.”

Customers who wish to speak during the virtual meeting can register online through a form available under Hot Topics on the FPSC homepage by clicking on the Sign-up to Speak link. Alternatively, they may call the FPSC at 1-850-413-7080 or send an email. Registration opens at 9:00 a.m. EDT on Wednesday, September 1, and closes at noon on Thursday, September 11.

Grenelefe currently provides water service to over 1,600 residential customers and wastewater service to more than 1,300 residential customers in Polk County.

Those unable to participate directly can view a live stream of the event by selecting “Watch Live and Archived PSC Events” on the commission’s website.
