The Florida Public Service Commission (FPSC) will hold a Special Commission Conference on November 20, 2025, to review a proposed Settlement Agreement from Florida Power & Light Company (FPL). The agreement is linked to FPL’s pending rate case petition, which was filed earlier this year on February 28.

According to the FPSC, the settlement reflects collaboration between various stakeholders. The list of signatories includes customer groups, businesses, and advocacy organizations such as the Florida Industrial Power Users Group, Florida Retail Federation, Florida Energy for Innovation Association, Walmart Inc., EVgo Services, Americans for Affordable Clean Energy, Circle K Stores, RaceTrac, Wawa, Electrify America, Federal Executive Agencies, Armstrong World Industries, and the Southern Alliance for Clean Energy.

A two-week evidentiary hearing began on October 6. During this period all parties were able to present testimony and cross-examine witnesses regarding both the settlement agreement and FPL’s initial rate request.

The Special Commission Conference will take place at 9:30 a.m. in the Joseph P. Cresse Hearing Room at the Betty Easley Conference Center in Tallahassee.
