IAM District 142 recently held its second annual charity golf tournament at Papago Golf Course in Phoenix. The event was organized to raise funds for Guide Dogs of America and Tender Loving Canines, a charity supported by the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM).

The tournament is described as a competitive fundraiser among IAM districts. Money raised from the event, including proceeds from games and donated prizes, will go toward training and placing service dogs with people who are visually impaired, veterans experiencing PTSD, and autistic children. All services provided by Guide Dogs of America and Tender Loving Canines are offered at no cost to recipients.

Staff members from Guide Dogs of America attended the event with puppies currently in training. Attendees expressed their support for the cause and noted the success of the fundraising efforts.
