More than 3,200 members of IAM Union District 837 at Boeing’s St. Louis-area facilities are scheduled to vote on a revised contract offer from the company on Sunday, August 3, starting at 10 a.m. Central Time. If union members reject the new proposal, a strike is set to begin at midnight on Monday, August 4.

The modified offer includes several changes from Boeing’s previous proposal. The company has withdrawn its Alternative Workweek Schedule (AWS) proposal, meaning that current overtime policies will remain as they are. Employees at maximum pay would receive an added annual increase of 50 cents per hour. For pension-eligible workers, the full $10 pension multiplier increase would be implemented in the first year rather than split into $5 increases over years two and three; employees must retire after January 1, 2026 to qualify for this change.

The latest offer does not alter other key terms such as the proposed 20% wage increases, a $5,000 ratification bonus, vacation or sick leave provisions, or healthcare benefits.

This upcoming vote follows the membership’s overwhelming rejection of Boeing’s earlier contract proposal on July 27.

The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM Union) represents about 600,000 active and retired workers across various industries in North America including aerospace and defense.
