The 2025 IAM International President’s Classic golf tournament raised over $150,000 to benefit the Maine Museum of Innovation, Learning and Labor (Maine MILL). The event took place at Fox Ridge Golf Club in Auburn, Maine, bringing together members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM), labor allies, and supporters from across North America.

According to IAM International President Brian Bryant, “This event is about honoring the history of working people and giving back to the communities that raised us. Supporting Maine MILL means preserving the stories of the working class. As someone who grew up in Maine, this cause is close to my heart, and I couldn’t be prouder of what we accomplished together.”

The tournament included dozens of teams participating in support of the museum. Attendees also took part in raffles and giveaways. Leadership from both IAM Union and Maine MILL made remarks during the event.

Rachel Ferrante, Executive Director of Maine MILL, said, “This incredible show of support from International President Bryant and the IAM Union will help us continue preserving and celebrating the legacy of Maine’s workers. We’re so grateful to everyone who participated and donated. Your generosity is making history.”

Funds raised by this year’s classic are earmarked for rehabilitating Maine MILL’s former Camden Yarns Mill building in Lewiston. Plans include constructing an addition that will serve as Maine MILL’s permanent home with space for permanent collections, temporary galleries, a classroom, children’s area, and design lab. The museum’s opening is scheduled for summer 2026.

More than 50 organizations sponsored holes at the tournament. Top sponsors included several branches within IAM—such as its International President’s Office; Eastern Territory; District 4; Local S6—as well as Jones Granger Law Firm and Employee Benefit Systems Inc. Additional sponsors included IAM Canadian Territory; Air Transport Territory; Southern Territory; Midwest Territory; Western Territory; Rail Division; Local 4; District 142; National Group Protection; American Income Life; Met Life Investment Management; and The Kelly Companies.
