The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Retirees & Membership Services Department held a week-long training session at the William Winpisinger Education and Technology Center in Maryland. The event focused on equipping members with the skills needed to establish retiree clubs at both district and local levels.

The initiative aims to strengthen retiree engagement, offer more resources for retired members, and promote mentorship opportunities for younger union members. The department encourages those interested in starting an IAM retiree club to visit their website for further information: https://www.goiam.org/departments/general-secretary-treasurer/membership-services/.

This effort is part of IAM’s broader strategy to increase activism among retirees and ensure ongoing support within the union community.
