Members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) Executive Council and delegates met in Savannah, Georgia, to address key political issues and strategies. The meeting focused on current political dynamics, the recent government shutdown, and efforts to encourage union members to vote in the upcoming 2026 midterm elections.
During the week, IAM International President Bryant delivered a keynote speech at the Georgia State AFL-CIO convention. The event highlighted the union’s ongoing commitment to increasing its influence within Georgia’s political landscape and ensuring that union voices are represented at all levels of government.
The discussions also included plans for mobilizing voters and emphasizing the importance of organized labor in shaping public policy.
