IAM Union members at Atlantic Aviation Teterboro have approved a new collective bargaining agreement that brings increases in wages, benefits, and changes to working conditions. The agreement was negotiated by IAM District 142.
The contract provides wage increases for all levels and classifications, a $1,500 signing bonus, retroactive pay dating back to the expiration of the previous contract, and premium increases. Other provisions include sick time buyback options and improvements to vacation accrual, surveillance language, progressive discipline language, and shift language.
“This agreement reflects the power of union solidarity and the commitment of our members at Atlantic Aviation TEB,” said IAM Air Transport Territory General Vice President Richie Johnsen. “This contract was won by the hard work, unity, and determination of our membership.”
IAM District 142 will collaborate with company leadership to make sure the terms of the contract are implemented as agreed.
“This contract delivers meaningful economic gains and important workplace protections,” said IAM District 142 President and Directing General Chair John M. Coveny, Jr. “It’s what our members fought for and what they have more than earned.”
The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers has stated it remains focused on protecting its members’ rights through collective bargaining efforts.
