The International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers (IAM) joined forces with the Alliance for Retired Americans at the latter’s annual pension symposium. The event, which was led by retired IAM General Secretary-Treasurer Robert Roach, Jr., focused on challenges facing Social Security and retirement plans.

During the symposium, participants discussed what they described as a political assault on Social Security and other retirement programs that benefit older Americans, including many members of the IAM Union. The meeting highlighted concerns about potential threats to these earned benefits and emphasized the need for collective action to protect them.
