Investor Edmond Harbour has purchased a neighboring property on Miami Beach’s Sunset Islands for $34 million, bringing his total investment in two adjacent lots to $60.5 million. The property, located at 1821 West 27th Street, was sold by Dr. Mark Jaffe and Patricia Jaffe. John Sandberg of Compass listed the home, while Julian Johnston of the Corcoran Group represented Harbour in the transaction. Johnston declined to comment on Harbour’s plans for the property.

Last year, Harbour bought the adjacent home at 1835 West 27th Street for $26.5 million, also with Johnston as his agent. Property records link Harbour to several entities, including Adobe18 LLC, Adobe21 LLC, and Metier Capital. Through Adobe21, Harbour acquired another waterfront home on Sunset Islands at 2121 Lake Avenue for $14.1 million in 2022.

The Jaffes originally purchased the house at 1821 West 27th Street for $1.2 million in 1989. The home, built in 1940, spans 6,900 square feet and sits on a 0.6-acre lot with seven bedrooms, seven bathrooms, and 150 feet of waterfront. The listing described it as a teardown.

The property was listed for $37.5 million in September and went under contract the following day, according to Zillow.

The practice of acquiring neighboring properties has become more common among buyers in South Florida’s affluent areas, as demand grows for large private estates with luxury amenities. In a similar transaction last month, billionaire Patrick Dovigi paid $15 million for an adjacent property to his existing Sunset Islands mansion.

Other notable recent sales on the Sunset Islands include Alden Global Capital’s sale of a waterfront home for $25.4 million earlier this month and Oren Alexander’s sale of his mansion for $51.5 million in June.
