Pollster Mark Penn has purchased a waterfront mansion on Pine Tree Drive in Miami Beach for $17.5 million, which is $5 million less than its most recent listing price.
Public records show that Penn and his wife, Nancy Jacobson, acquired the property at 5785 Pine Tree Drive from Pinetree Holding Corporation. The corporation is managed by Mohammad Eleyyan of Staten Island. Andrew Katz of Howard Chase Real Estate represented the buyers in the transaction, while Albert Justo and Mirce Curkoski of One Sotheby’s International Realty were the listing agents.
Mark Penn currently serves as chairman of Harris Poll, is a partner in the Harvard CAPS/Harris Poll, and leads Stagwell as chairman and CEO. He previously advised Bill and Hillary Clinton during their political campaigns in the 1990s and 2000s.
Eleyyan originally bought the 0.3-acre property for $1.9 million in 2011. He completed construction on an almost 11,000-square-foot mansion with eight bedrooms, six bathrooms, two half-bathrooms, a pool, a dock, and 79 feet of waterfront in 2023. The house was sold fully furnished.
The home was first listed for $22.9 million in 2021 before being raised to $24.9 million in 2022 and later reduced to $22.5 million last year according to Zillow.
This purchase follows other high-value real estate transactions along Miami Beach’s waterfront streets. In December, billionaire Teddy Sagi purchased a teardown on Pine Tree Drive for $23.8 million. In August, Richard Schulze—founder of Best Buy—was associated with buying a Venetian Islands waterfront home for $27 million. On North Bay Road, Russell Weiner—the founder of Rockstar Energy—recently found a buyer for his home priced at $32.5 million; Weiner also owns another large property on Pine Tree Drive and is involved in litigation over alleged construction defects at that estate.
