Drivers in downtown Tampa will face several road closures on Saturday, November 22, due to the Miles for Moffitt run. The event is expected to draw about 10,000 participants and spectators.

Closures will begin early in the morning. Brorein Bridge will be closed from 4:00 AM to 10:30 AM, Channelside from 4:00 AM to noon, and Bayshore/Platt Street from 5:00 AM to 10:00 AM. The race starts at Brorein Street and ends at Thunder Alley at Benchmark International Arena. Runners will travel along Bayshore Boulevard as far as Euclid Avenue before returning, resulting in a full closure of Bayshore Boulevard during the event.

The first races are scheduled to start at 6:30 AM, with some road restrictions remaining until midday. City officials advise drivers to use caution near the event area and watch for increased pedestrian activity.

For updated information on road closures that may affect commutes, residents can check Tampa’s official website at https://www.tampa.gov/road-closures.

“Drivers are encouraged to exercise extra caution near event areas and remain alert for increased pedestrian activity.”
