Several new facilities and developments have recently opened in Ocala/Marion County, aiming to offer more activities and accommodations for visitors and residents.
Pickleball Kingdom, a large indoor pickleball facility, is scheduled to open this summer in northwest Ocala. The 37,000-square-foot venue will feature 13 professional-grade courts. It will also provide coaching programs for all skill levels, youth programs, leagues, tournaments, and space for community and corporate events.
Heart of the Park has opened in Tuscawilla Park after transforming the former American Legion building into a community center. Open since July 4, the site includes weekly museum exhibits, a corner store, and multipurpose spaces available for meetings and events. Additionally, Everhome Suites Ocala I-75 North began welcoming guests this summer at 1610 NW 35th Ave Rd. The extended-stay hotel offers apartment-style suites with full kitchens and living areas suitable for longer stays. The property is also pet friendly.
Ocala/Marion County continues to attract attention from equestrians, cyclists, geologists, and film enthusiasts but remains relatively undiscovered by many travelers. The area is known for its natural springs as well as venues like the World Equestrian Center and Florida Aquatics Swimming and Training complex. Visitors can also explore local restaurants, shops, arts venues, and historic sites throughout the county.
