In recent South Florida real estate hiring developments, several firms have announced new appointments ahead of the region’s active season.
Turkish developer Okan Group has named Michael Sadov of Fortune Development Sales to oversee sales at its planned Okan Tower in downtown Miami. The tower, which will be located at 555 North Miami Avenue, is designed to rise 70 stories and will include a 316-key Hilton hotel, 236 condo-hotel units, 163 condominiums, 80,000 square feet of amenities, and 60,000 square feet of office space.
Sadov joined Fortune Development Sales in June. His background includes sales director positions with Cervera Real Estate and Compass. He has previously worked on projects such as Paramount Miami Worldcenter, Canyon Ranch Living Miami Beach, Aventura ParkSquare, and One Bal Harbour.
Okan Group initially began sales for the tower in 2020 but paused during the pandemic before restarting sales efforts in 2021.
Separately, Weiss Law, a Miami-based law firm, has added real estate tax attorney Ben Miller as Of Counsel. Miller comes to the firm from Meltzer, Lippe, Goldstein & Breitstone after serving there for a year. His prior experience also includes roles at DarrowEverett and Greenspoon Marder.
Weiss Law was launched last year by Adam J. Weiss and Sebastian Bohorquez after both previously worked at Solomon Cooperman Recondo & Weiss in Miami. The firm handles matters involving acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, financing, litigation, and zoning.
Additionally, Claudia Cornejo—who founded Claudia & Associates Real Estate Group in Virginia—will join Coldwell Banker Realty’s Miami office. Since founding her team in 2004, she has sold over 1,000 homes. Cornejo plans to divide her time between Miami and Washington, D.C.
