City of Tampa offices will be closed on Thursday, November 27, and Friday, November 28, 2025, in observance of Thanksgiving. Trash collection services for both residential and commercial customers will be adjusted due to the holiday closure.

According to the city, there will be no collection service on Thursday, November 27. Residential customers who normally receive service that day will have their trash collected on Friday, November 28. Those with a regular Friday pickup will have their service moved to Saturday, November 29. The normal solid waste collection schedule is set to resume on Monday, December 1.

Commercial customers scheduled for Thursday collection will also be serviced on Friday instead. Collection for these customers will continue one day behind through Saturday. Regular schedules for commercial pickups are expected to resume by Monday as well.

The McKay Bay Transfer Station and Scale House at 114 S. 34th St. will close to the public on both Thursday and Friday during the holiday period and reopen with normal hours on Saturday.

Customers seeking additional information or who have concerns can reach out to the City of Tampa Utilities Call Center at (813) 274-8811 or visit www.tampagov.net/solidwaste.

The city also advises residents in New Tampa to contact Hillsborough County Solid Waste Management at (813) 272-5680 for information about their specific holiday collection schedule.
