Tampa Bay Chamber Vice President Michelle Ciudad Real has become the first professional in Florida to receive the Certified Community Leadership Practitioner (CCLP) designation from the Association of Leadership Programs (ALP). She is also the 43rd person in the United States to earn this recognition.
The CCLP designation is awarded to professionals who demonstrate skill in guiding community members toward connection, collaboration, and engagement with each other and the broader community.
“I’m both humbled and honored to receive this designation,” said Ciudad Real. “This recognition reinforces the importance of investing in people who drive meaningful change within their communities. At the Tampa Bay Chamber, we believe that when individuals are empowered to lead, our entire region grows stronger. I’m grateful to the Association of Leadership Programs for this opportunity to continue advancing the impact of community leadership in the Tampa Bay area.”
Ciudad Real serves on the executive team at the Tampa Bay Chamber, overseeing member engagement initiatives that reach about 1,400 member companies and more than 9,800 employees locally. Before her current role, she was senior director of leadership programs at the Chamber and was named one of the nation’s Top 40 Under 40 Emerging Leaders in her field.
The Association of Leadership Programs supports over 300 members across 45 states as well as internationally in Canada, Australia, and Germany. More information can be found at alpleaders.org.
