A pedestrian was killed in a hit-and-run incident on Monday, October 20, 2025, near the intersection of N 50th St. and E 30th Ave. in Tampa, according to the Tampa Police Department. The incident occurred around 8:00 pm when a woman in her mid-40s was struck by a southbound vehicle believed to be a gray SUV. The driver did not stop and left the scene.

A second vehicle then hit the victim. Unlike the first driver, this individual stopped immediately, called emergency services, and stayed at the location to cooperate with police.

Detectives are working on the case and have collected evidence from the site. They are also collaborating with local businesses to review surveillance footage that may help identify and locate the driver who left the scene.

In a statement, police said: “We are committed to ensuring justice is served for the victim and her loved ones.”

The department emphasized the importance of public assistance in solving the case: “Providing information is crucial to holding the person responsible accountable and any additional information, no matter how small it may seem, could be the key to delivering justice.”

Authorities urge anyone who witnessed the event or saw a gray SUV in the area around 8:00 pm to contact the Tampa Police Department at 813-231-6130 and reference report number 25-595168.
