Tampa Police are investigating a shooting that occurred early Thursday morning at an apartment complex on the 6000 block of Woodville Street. Officers responded to a 911 call just before 1:00 a.m. and found three people with gunshot wounds. Two of those victims were taken to the hospital with injuries described as not life-threatening, while one person was transported in critical condition.

About half an hour later, police were called to West Platt and South Willow Avenue where two more individuals reported they had also been shot at the same Woodville Street location and were en route to a local hospital. Both were hospitalized with non-life-threatening injuries.

A sixth victim later arrived at a hospital, also suffering from non-life-threatening injuries.

According to investigators, all six victims were outside when they were shot. Detectives are working to identify suspects and determine what led up to the incident.

“This is an active investigation. Additional details will be provided as available,” according to Tampa Police.
