Tampa Police have located and impounded a vehicle believed to be involved in a hit-and-run incident that left a bicyclist seriously injured. The crash happened early Wednesday morning, just after 2:30 am, on Dale Mabry Highway near Mango Avenue. According to police, an SUV struck an adult white male riding a bicycle. The victim was taken to a local hospital and is currently in stable condition.

Detectives found the silver 2019 Chevy Equinox abandoned in the 2200 block of E. 12th Avenue. The vehicle has been secured as evidence as investigators continue to pursue leads related to the case.
