Tampa is seeking applicants for the Mayor’s Youth Corps Class of 2026, inviting local high school students interested in community service and learning about city government to apply. The program is open to students in grades 9 through 11 who live in or attend a public or private high school within Tampa’s city limits.
Applications are being accepted for one-year terms, with the deadline set for October 23, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. Interested students can find applications on the City of Tampa Mayor’s Youth Corps webpage. Members of the Youth Leadership Council will review applications, conduct interviews, and make recommendations for acceptance into the program.
Participants in the Mayor’s Youth Corps have opportunities to engage with city government, meet with Mayor Jane Castor, connect with peers, take part in community service projects, attend state and national conferences, and manage social media platforms. The program also offers training in leadership and employability skills.
For additional information about the application process or program details, individuals can contact Molly Biebel, Mayor’s Youth Corps Coordinator, at 813-459-4002 or via email at molly.biebel@tampa.gov.
