Teen dancers from the New Tampa Senior Production Showstars are preparing to perform at Tampa’s 37th Annual Hispanic Heritage Celebration. The event, which is a long-standing tradition in the city, will take place on Tuesday, October 14, 2025, at 11:00 A.M. at the historic Tampa Theatre.

The group will present a jazz dance set to Pitbull’s song “Echa Pa’lla (Manos Pa’rriba).” For dancers Marielvira Gomez and Alejandra Rozo, participating in this event provides an opportunity to honor their Hispanic backgrounds through dance and music.

In addition to student performances, the celebration will feature appearances by notable members of the local Hispanic community, including Tony Selvaggio, CEO & Founder of eSmart Recycling, and media personality Sarykarmen Rivera.

A preview of the performance is being offered today for media outlets at the New Tampa Recreation Center. Reporters have been invited to observe and interview students about their experiences sharing Latin culture with others.

The first 200 guests attending the celebration at Tampa Theatre will receive a free lunch. Additional details about the event can be found by contacting city officials at (813) 274-8211 or visiting their offices at 306 East Jackson Street in Tampa.
