The Sunny, a renovated oceanfront hotel in Sunny Isles Beach, is set to open its doors in October. The property, previously known as the Newport Beachside Resort, has undergone a complete transformation led by its third-generation family owners.

The hotel now features 340 redesigned rooms and introduces six new culinary and cocktail venues. Guests will find a curated art program in the lobby, a mezcal tasting lounge located under the stairs, fire pits along the beach, and live music events. Chef Ray Garcia’s ¡VIVA! restaurant will make its East Coast debut at The Sunny, offering modern Mexican-American cuisine with views of the Atlantic Ocean.

The Sunny is situated near the historic Newport Pier, one of Miami’s last public fishing piers. According to the announcement, “It’s not just a place to stay, it’s a place to stumble onto something special.”
