A new 2-acre padel club is set to open at a planned $2 billion mixed-use development in Midtown Miami. Ultra Padel, led by Guillermo Barragan, will launch the Ultra Club Midtown pop-up venue with 11 outdoor courts, three children’s courts, and a food and beverage concept. The venue is expected to open in December.

The Midtown Park project is being developed by Carlos Rosso’s Rosso Development and Alex Vadia’s Midtown Development on a nearly 5-acre site at 3055 North Miami Avenue in Miami. The first phase of the project will include the 28-story, 288-unit Midtown Park Residences by Proper condo tower with 40,000 square feet of amenities. Proper Hospitality from Santa Monica is partnering on this phase.

Ultra Club Midtown will initially operate as a pop-up on the vacant portion of the development site designated for the second phase. After completion of that phase, Ultra Padel will run a permanent eight-court Racquet & Padel Club at Midtown Park.

In Coconut Grove’s Grove Isle, CMC Group’s Vita at Grove Isle condominium will house an Italian restaurant called La Sponda. Miami-based Gioia Hospitality Group will operate La Sponda in a 4,500-square-foot space upstairs at Vita at Grove Isle Club. The restaurant is expected to open next year following completion of the condo building this year. Martin Brudnizki Design Studio is responsible for the interior design.

Vita at Grove Isle includes 65 condos on the 20-acre island. Units range from three- to four-bedroom layouts and bi-level penthouses, with prices starting around $8.4 million and penthouses beginning at about $21.5 million.

Wagyu House and Murano are scheduled to open in September; Tee Box expects to launch early next year.

Atlantic Village consists of multiple phases with restaurants, retail spaces totaling about 118,000 square feet, office buildings, and an upcoming office condo tower at 800 North Federal Highway developed by Grupo Eco—founded over four decades ago in Mexico City—and Apollo Companies as partner.

By year-end, Atlantic Village will also host the Americas headquarters for FIBA (International Basketball Federation). FIBA acquired three office condos spanning 6,400 square feet for $3.9 million on the eleventh floor of 800 North Federal Highway and plans to relocate from its current Coconut Grove location after five years there.

Puttshack will open its second South Florida mini-golf venue Aug. 27 at Dania Pointe in Dania Beach. The facility features four nine-hole tech-enabled courses using proprietary Trackaball technology along with bars and event space within more than 25,000 square feet. Puttshack currently operates another location in Brickell City Centre in Miami.

Dania Pointe was developed by Kimco Realty and covers approximately 102 acres near I-95 and Stirling Road with nearly one million square feet dedicated to retail and entertainment uses as well as hotels and residences.

Bluebird Kids Health leased roughly 4,000 square feet at Tamarac’s shopping plaza located at 7801 Northwest 57th Street; it opens Sept. 3 under ownership of ShopOne Centers REIT which purchased it last month for $36.4 million.
