Visit St. Pete-Clearwater has launched a new incentive for travelers to use their unused paid time off (PTO) before the end of the year. The organization is offering up to $250 in gift cards for those who book vacations through its official website and stay through the end of 2025.

A recent study by the Society for Human Resource Management found that nearly half of U.S. employees expect to leave vacation days unused this year. In response, Visit St. Pete-Clearwater aims to encourage more people to take time off and visit Florida’s Gulf Coast.

Travelers who reserve their trips via VisitSPC.com/PTO will receive $50 in gift cards for every vacation day used, up to five nights, totaling a possible $250. Steve Grimes, Chief Marketing Officer at Visit St. Pete-Clearwater, said, “Don’t let your PTO go to waste when there’s still time to take a beach break. Fall and early winter is the sweet spot here – perfect weather, lots of events, and now, we’re giving you a little extra spending money for that sunset meal or night out on the town.”

The region is known for its white-sand beaches and warm temperatures during fall and early winter months. Travelers can also access additional savings with the FunShine Savings Passport, which provides discounts at over 50 local attractions, restaurants, and shops.

For more information about planning a trip or claiming incentives, travelers are directed to VisitSPC.com/PTO.
