Visit Tampa Bay has announced it will continue its partnership with Brentford FC for the 2025/2026 Premier League season, marking the third consecutive year as the club’s North American Destination Partner.

The renewed collaboration will focus on engaging fans through various activities. Planned events include a Visit Tampa Bay Matchday Takeover at Brentford’s Gtech Community Stadium, featuring Tampa-themed food, pirate treasure giveaways, VIP ticket opportunities, and a contest for a trip to Tampa Bay. The partnership also grants Visit Tampa Bay access to player content creation and digital marketing campaigns, as well as support from Brentford FC when hosting events in Tampa Bay for US-based supporters.

Over the previous two seasons, the partnership has featured initiatives such as two “Tampa Bay Takeovers,” mascot exchanges—including Brentford’s mascot Buzz visiting local attractions like Busch Gardens and the Tampa Riverwalk—and travel giveaways for fans. The strategy emphasizes increasing awareness of Tampa Bay among UK football fans by promoting direct flights from London Heathrow and Gatwick and providing information on booking holidays to Florida’s Gulf Coast.

Visit Tampa Bay has also participated in charitable efforts linked to Brentford FC’s Heart of West London initiative. Players attended an art workshop with local artist Dylan Perry, creating pieces that were auctioned to benefit research into preventing young cardiac death at Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Charity. Additionally, players experienced elements of Tampa culture through a stadium treasure hunt.

Brentford FC Head of Partnership Services Adam Ward said: “Brentford stands out in the Premier League because we give our fans a top-class matchday experience. Visit Tampa Bay have been fantastic in taking this to another level.

We love seeing our fans faces when they win a holiday at the Gtech as VIPs. Visit Tampa Bay help make our matchdays special, so we’re very happy that they are renewing with us for a third season.”

Santiago C. Corrada, President and CEO of Visit Tampa Bay commented: “We are proud to renew the partnership with Brentford FC after two successful seasons with activity happening both in Tampa and in the UK.

We continue to be impressed with the club and particularly with the loyalty and love felt for Brentford FC from their fans across the world and we look to bringing even more of Tampa Bay’s warm sun, exciting fun and rich culture throughout the new Premier League season. Treasure Awaits.”

The UK remains an important market for Visit Tampa Bay due to its status as the largest overseas source of visitors. With ongoing development projects in hospitality and tourism infrastructure—as well as two daily direct flights connecting London airports with Florida—Visit Tampa Bay continues its strategy of year-round engagement targeting consumers, travel professionals, and media outlets.

Visit Tampa Bay operates as a not-for-profit corporation certified by Destinations International’s Destination Marketing Accreditation Program (DMAP), collaborating with partners across sectors to promote tourism on Florida’s Gulf Coast.
