Six Flagler Awards recognizing excellence in tourism marketing were awarded to organizations in Hillsborough County at the 2025 Florida Governor’s Conference on Tourism. Visit Tampa Bay received five awards, including three Henrys (first place) and two Silvers, while ZooTampa earned a Bronze. The awards were presented during the annual Chairman’s Dinner held at the Omni Orlando Resort at Champions Gate.
Santiago C. Corrada, President and CEO of Visit Tampa Bay, commented on the recognition: “It’s a tremendous honor to have the Florida tourism community recognize the marketing efforts of the Visit Tampa Bay team,” he said. “And our congratulations to our friends at ZooTampa for their recognition, too. Everyone involved is 100% committed to creating the highest quality and most effective marketing products we can. Not for awards and recognition, but because the more effective our efforts are, the greater and more positive the impact we have on the economy of our county, our region, and our state.”
The Flagler Awards program is now in its 25th year of honoring tourism marketing achievements across Florida. This year saw a record number of entries—over 300—from individuals, private businesses, and not-for-profit organizations promoting tourism within or to Florida.
A panel of twelve judges independently reviewed each entry based on creativity, innovation, production quality, and effectiveness. Awards were given to top entries in eighteen categories; first-place winners received Henry Awards.
ZooTampa at Lowry Park was recognized with a Bronze award in Mobile Marketing for its “Creatures of the Night” campaign.
Visit Tampa Bay operates as a not-for-profit corporation certified by Destinations International’s Destination Marketing Accreditation Program (DMAP). The organization collaborates with numerous partners to promote Tampa Bay as a travel destination.
